I'm alive...kinda

Every new year I tell myself that I'll blog more.

But guys, I'm serious this time.

To start of 2013 (a week late) I will talk about some new things in my life.

1. I moved back to PG and enrolled at UVU. I am so happy that I'm not in Logan right now.

2. I started knitting and totally suck but think it's fun. I hope to be able to make myself socks one day.

3. I am obsessed with beanies this winter season but only have one that I like wearing. It's a problem because I can only wear it like twice a week without looking homeless.

4. I went to a concert with Ruthie and co. Although it was zero degrees I had so much fun and I have new friends!!

5. Jake and I have been dating for a year and a half. For my Christmas present he actually stalked my Pinterest account and ordered a necklace that I had pinned. He's so cute.

I'm ridiculously happy with my life right now.

Bring it 2013.

Outweighed

I am going to be back in Utah Valley in 1.5 weeks!!

Lets make a list of things I'm going to miss about Logan.

Now lets make a list of things I will not miss about Logan.

• The devil roommate.
• My little bunk bed that I sometimes hit my head on.
• My family, friends, and boyfriend (because I'll be with them so they won't be missed!)
• The tiny, yucky, cluttered shower and bathroom.
• The toilet that is so short I'm convinced it's for elves.
• Parking outside.
• Not having a dishwasher.
• The sleepless nights.
• Having to pay to do the laundry.
• Only eating cereal because I'm lazy.
• Watching shows by myself.
• My stupid major.
• The slooooowest internet.
• Basically everything.

It's not like I'm going to live at home forever.

But I'm extremely excited to be with my family again for a while.

My groove

I put in my two weeks at work today.

It's bitter sweet because working at Pizza Plus was probably one of my 

favorite things about living in Logan.

But I am moving back to Utah county in 2.5 weeks!

I'm ridiculously excited to get into my video production program

and to live closer to my friends and family again.

Yay for happiness!

Surprises

I just applied to UVU for the spring semester.

Surprise!

I'm in the International Studies program right now and it just doesn't seem right.

On top of that, I miss my family, friends, and boyfriend.

So I'm transferring and going into Digital Media with an emphasis in Cinema Production.

I. Am. Excited.

I had always thought about doing something in digital media because 

I love editing and making videos.

But I convinced myself that it wouldn't be practical.

What kind of jobs would I be able to get?

After doing something I wasn't passionate about for a semester I decided to 

throw practicality out the window and chose something that made me happy and excited.

And guess what?

I'm probably the most happy and excited I've been in months.

So here's to positive change and to the future.

Not Complaining

I was going to make a list of things that are good in the previous post since all I did was whine but I thought it should just be a new post.

There are positive things in my life people.

1. I have decided on a major! I'm an International Studies girl.

I'm really excited about this because now I feel like I have a purpose up here. 

And one of the classes I'm taking now counts toward it though I didn't know what I would be doing when I signed up for it. 

That was a nice, happy surprise.

2. My bridesmaid dress for the wedding is really pretty.

It's fun to feel exceptionally pretty every once in a while.

3. My bed is wayy too comfortable.

4. I get to be with all my favorite people for the majority of this week. 

That never happens.

5. Jake stares at me while we watch movies with love in his eyes then kisses my cheek.

It's probably the cutest thing ever.

6. I had sushi on Friday and it was magical. Magically delicious.

7. I have the best mom in the world.

I guess my complains and non-complains even out.

Life is pretty great.

One can always find things to be happy about.

I watched all these Disney shorts as a kid.

In fact, I just watched them again and smiled all the way through.

Donald makes everything sound like a donkey and makes me laugh.

If I had to pick I'd probably go with Kingdom of Jazz.

They's the bee's knee's.

I always wanted a cork gun because of this.

It is on a VHS of course.

Is it dumb that I still love watching my video tapes?

Jake thinks I need to upgrade.

But I still browse the VHS section at DI and get excited when I find one of my childhood favorites.

Anyone else stuck in the past?

So, apparently someone decided that today is

National Boyfriend Day.

OH  GOODIE!!
This means that I am going to post about my boyfriend!

A few things I have learned over the past 15 months we have been together...

...I don't like my hair dyed blond.

...I can get really weird if I feel totally comfortable around you.

...If you're with a person for long enough, 

they won't care if you don't shave your legs for weeks at a time.

...Some guys don't ever, EVER wear shorts.

Jake is this guy.

...The saying "the way to get to a mans heart is through is stomach" may not be entirely true,

but everyone likes food so it doesn't hurt.

...Holding hands is one of life's simple pleasures.

...I am crazy for Jake.

• Finding a bottle of yummy barbecue sauce that makes chicken nuggets worth the calories.
• Having a sleepover with my favorite cousin.
• The great art of cinema.
• Being able to adequately and painlessly chew after 1.5 weeks of liquids and wincing.
• Beautiful people.

• Dinner with my boyfriend.
• Neighborhood BBQ's that end with fireworks and giggling kids.
• My family. Every day.
• Watching drag queen shows with my momma.
• Pinterest. Really can't get enough of that place.
