Outweighed

I am going to be back in Utah Valley in 1.5 weeks!!
Lets make a list of things I'm going to miss about Logan.
  • Maddy
  • Jorge
  • Kim
  • Alissa
  • Pizza Plus. A little.
Now lets make a list of things I will not miss about Logan.
  • The devil roommate.
  • My little bunk bed that I sometimes hit my head on.
  • My family, friends, and boyfriend (because I'll be with them so they won't be missed!)
  • The tiny, yucky, cluttered shower and bathroom.
  • The toilet that is so short I'm convinced it's for elves.
  • Parking outside.
  • Not having a dishwasher.
  • The sleepless nights.
  • Having to pay to do the laundry.
  • Only eating cereal because I'm lazy.
  • Watching shows by myself.
  • My stupid major.
  • The slooooowest internet.
  • Basically everything.
It's not like I'm going to live at home forever.
But I'm extremely excited to be with my family again for a while.
See ya, Logan.

Ps. I love gifs of cute animals.

I'm Choking!

Yesterday I has my wisdom teeth removed.
Being under anesthesia is quite the experience.
I don't remember a single thing.
Luckily for all of us my sister recorded the car ride home.
I'm not hilarious but still pretty funny.
If you ask my anyway.

Best Friends

This chick is a ten year old.
But she's definitely my best friend.
I tell her all my secrets.
We talk about boys and clothes and life.

I also think she should be a model.

Butts and Warts at Dinner

It's ridiculous how much I love my family. I have a 7 year old brother that says some funny stuff. I love dinner time because we all talk about our day. Every night without fail we have some of the most awkward conversation a person could imagine.
For example:

It was my turn to talk about my day. I started with the test I aced in wood shop today. Everyone said yay, good job, ect. My mom had me bring a cutting board to school today so I could cut it to the right size and that gave my dad the idea to get a cutting board that he had made my mom from its permanent spot in the cupboard (it's too pretty to scratch up, according to my mom). It was looking a little dull so pops decided to get the old and shine it up with some napkins. Trying to be all smarty pants and funny I said, "Hey Matt, do you know what that joint is called holding the pieces of wood together? No? It's called a butt joint." *giggles* "Ya, it's even spelled B-U-T-T." *more giggles* Then my mom chimed in, "Because it looks like a butt crack..." *laughs* And then we started making silly comparisons of a butt crack and a cutting board.
-Dad is wiping it, heheh!
-Dad is oiling it like a baby's bottom, teehee!
-It's brown, ohohoh!
-Mom likes to keep it hidden, haha!
Just stuff like that. Matthew was laughing so hard. You can't help but smile when that kid is happy.

Secondly, I have a nasty wart on my foot, nasty I know. So I told my mom we need to do something about it and that got Matthew going on the wart he had to freeze off once. Then out of no where he said, "Today at school, so-and-so told me that his brother's friend has warts on his....." and then he turned red and looked at his crotch. I looked at my parents and we all busted up while Anika was shocked and Matthew was embarrassed. Matthew thought his friend was lying and that couldn't happen so we proceeded to explain, briefly, genital warts. Lovely dinner conversation, I know.

Also, I made us all piña coladas. Soooooo yummy.
My family rules.

Tootsies and Some Wasps

I took a practice AP Calculus test today.
It was 4 hours long.
Let's just say I was drained when I got home.
What did I hear when I got home?
Anika yelling "Katie! Katie! Guess what I brought you!!"
And I said what and she gave me two blue tootsie rolls.
I am in love with those things and they are precious.
Anika knows this about me and saved her only two from school today.
I dare say she is the best little sister ever

She also destroyed a huge wasps nest by herself with only a broom.
I seriously love this kid with all my heart.

Weddings and Stuff

I went on choir tour last week.
It was so incredibly fun to be with some of my best friends.
At Disneyland.
(video coming soon)

The more exciting news is that my brother is engaged!
He was supposed to be married yesterday,
but some things changed and now the tentative date is May 26.

That there is what my brother and almost-sister-in-law look like.
Wedding, whoo!
It's super sudden and exciting.
Welcome to the family, Laura!
(almost)

Last Weekend

I made a video of last weekend.
Sometimes it is choppy and it ends a bit abruptly,
but I like it and it makes me smile.
Enjoy (:

My favorite part is when Matthew biffs it on the mini snowmobile
then comes back crying.
I love that kid.
And I love my whole family.

Wait...It's Christmas Eve?

Not the usual Christmas Eve for the Larson family.
To start out the day, my dad went to the ER.
He has a bulging disk in his back according to the MRI.
But he's back home after an epidural and some drugs.
Lots of drugs?
Anything to keep the pain away I suppose.
I took Anika and Matt to see The Muppets.
Very cute by the way.
And in the $3 theater.
We had dinner at Sonic.
We cleaned the house.
Now we're about to open our Christmas Eve PJ's.
(and there's no snow. WTF?)

The most important thing to me this Christmas is that we're together.

Happy Holidays

How Old Are You?

It's this guys birthday...

He's my pops and I love him lots.
We usually do crazy stuff together.
He taught me how to tell stupid jokes...

For example, if we happen to be talking about noses,
don't be surprised if one of us says "that's snot funny"
or something dumb like that.

He helped me learn how to do a bunch of computer stuff
that the rest of you wish you could do,
and how to love.

Happy Birthday to my favortie dad! (;

This love has been a long time in the making.

I LOVE MY MOMMA!!!!

This is my beautiful momma.
I love her very much for lotsa reasons.
I've been wanting a certain food for a while.
We haven't had it for years and it always sounds delicious.
Guess what was waiting for me when I walked in the door...
That certain food!!

The best salad ever to start it off.
Then Chicken-Broccoli Rolls!!

I saw them sitting there on the table just for me.
It was definitely the best thing I've seen all day.
Probably all week.
Me: Are those what I think they are??
Mom: Yes...
Me: I love you!!! (as I fill my mouth with the first C-B Roll)
Mom: I love you too. That's why I made them.
Am I lucky or what?

Matthew-isms

All little people are cute and funny.
But I must say I have the cutest and funniest one there is.
Matthew.

He says something that makes me laugh every day.
Here is a collection of Facebook posts from this year
all about Matthew.
(My favorite ones are in green)

Dec. 24 - (Dad) Matthew: "If Jesus were my dad, he'd take me to Chuck E. Cheese's, why won't you?"

Jan. 12- (Mom) Matthew just came out of the bathroom saying, "Gross. Very gross." I asked what he was talking about and he said, "Pee...Pee just got in my eye." I said that he must be kidding and he said he wasn't. So I asked how in the world that happens. He said, "I was shaking it and it flicked up into my eye."

Feb. 21Me: Matt are you gonna be a wrestler or a basketball player?
Matt: Neither.
Me: What then?
Matt: Ninja

Feb. 22- (Mom) Matthew just woke up and I said, "Good morning. Did you have a good sleep?" He said, "Yes. But I didn't have a good computer game because I haven't got to play one yet."

Feb. 27- (Mom) We were talking about how Easter changes dates every year. Anika asked why? I told her that it had something to do with the moon. Matthew says, "I know. It's so that there is a full moon so that the Easter Bunny can see at night."

March 19Me: I'm thinking of something that starts with a G.
Matthew: G-sus?

March 25- (Dad) Matthew's prayer last night: "Please bless Japan, that she will recover goodly."

March 28- Matthew: Why would anyone burn the US flag?

Dad: Some people don't like America
Matthew: I don't understand why they wouldn't like America. Oh wait, yes I do. It gets cold here sometimes

April 2Matthew: I don't like carnivores.
Mom: Why not?
Matthew: Because they eat people.
Mom: I think you mean cannibals.

April 5Matthew: Did you know that Katie has had almost 100 kisses in her life?
Mom (shocked and surprised): She has? Did she tell you this?
Matthew: No. I gave them to her. Do you want 100 kisses too?
Mom (very relieved): Maybe later. I'm making dinner right now.

April 19Me: Hey mom how do you spell immaculate?
Matt: M-A-T-T-H-E-W
Me: Immaculate, not Matthew!
Matt: Oh.....
*hugs me and runs off*

April 22- (Mom) The tooth fairy came and Matthew was very excited! He said, "I know what I want to do with my dollar. Donate it to Mr. Dickson's babies (a teacher at his school who had premie twins). This dollar is special but people are more special than money."

April 24- (Mom) Matthew and I were talking about the easter bunny this morning. He was wondering where the easter bunny lives. He thought about it for a few seconds and said, "I know...Easter Island!"

April 27- (Mom) Anika asked me, "What is the opposite of hazel?" Matthew blurted out, "Gretel!"

May 4- (Dad) Matthew wore his Darth Vader shirt to celebrate Star Wars Day.

May7- (Mom) Matthew picked a bunch of wildflowers and used duct tape to hold the bouquet together.

May 9- (Mom) Matthew planted a jelly bean on Easter morning. He has been watering it and watching it ever since. This morning he said (in a very disappointed voice). "I guess my jelly bean tree isn't going to grow."

I love this kid.

Sugoi!

Our friends from Japan visited us over the weekend.
We gave them a tour of our home and they video recorded it.
No matter what room we were in,
you could hear someone saying "sugoi" (cool/awesome).

She's even cuter in real life!

We had a blast.
And lucky for us, they brought some Japanese treats.

Choco-Pie. Yumm.
Nail Kit for me!!  Ohh-la-la.
Super-secret spy pen!

I'm going to quote my moms facebook post now...

The food was delicious but the company was even better.
Even though most of the group only spoke Japanese,
love and laugher was the common language.

Next time we see each other,
I'm going to be the one recording their house.
