Heeee Hawwww

I watched all these Disney shorts as a kid.
In fact, I just watched them again and smiled all the way through.

Donald makes everything sound like a donkey and makes me laugh.

If I had to pick I'd probably go with Kingdom of Jazz.
They's the bee's knee's.

I always wanted a cork gun because of this.

It is on a VHS of course.
Is it dumb that I still love watching my video tapes?
Jake thinks I need to upgrade.
But I still browse the VHS section at DI and get excited when I find one of my childhood favorites.
Anyone else stuck in the past?
VHS? CD's? Scrunchies? That's So Raven? Game Boys? Overalls?
Please don't say overalls.

I Want Adventure

***WARNING***
You probably don't wanna read this...cuz it's real long.

Once upon a time, in a faraway land,
a young prince lived in a shining castle.
Although he had everything his heart desired,
the prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind.
But then, one winter's night, an old beggar woman came to the castle
and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold.
Repulsed by her haggard appearance,
the prince sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away,
but she warned him not to be deceived by appearances,
 for beauty is found within.
And when he dismissed her again,
the old woman's ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful enchantress.
The prince tried to apologize, but it was too late, for she had seen that
there was no love in his heart
and as punishment, she transformed him into a hideous beast,
and placed a powerful spell on the castle, and all who lived there.
Ashamed of his monstrous form, the beast concealed himself inside his castle, with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world.
The rose she had offered was truly an enchanted rose,
which would bloom until his twenty-first year.
If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken.
If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time.
As the years passed, he fell into despair, and lost all hope,
for who could ever learn to love a beast?

I'm in love with Beauty and the Beast right now.
I bought it for $1 at DI.
Greatest DI buy up to date.
Here are some of my favorite quotes...

Beast:  I want to do something for her, but what?
Cogsworth:  Well, there's the usual things. Flowers, chocolates, promises you don't intend to keep.

Gaston:  Lefou, I'm afraid I've been thinking.
Lefou:  A dangerous pastime.
Gaston:  I know.

Gaston:  It's not right for a woman to read.  Soon she starts getting ideas, thinking...
Belle:  Gaston, you are positively primeval.
Gaston:  Why thank you, Belle.

This is my favorite song because like Belle,
I want adventure in the great, wide somewhere.
It gets me right in that spot I have in my heart.
I don't have as many reasons as I thought I would.
Don't act like I'm crazy because everyone has that little spot.

I had to include this part.
It's so darn sweet I couldn't help myself.

If you like Disney and you haven't seen Beauty and the Beast.
Shame.
There's what I have to say about that.
And I am bored.
