It's Messed Up...

...that Shalla's zodiac sign is Cancer.

8th grade. We be creepin'

This is where my mind is lately.

I saw Michalla today for the first time.

One of the harder things I've ever had to do.

Seeing her in the hospital with tubes everywhere, bruises on her arms, in so much pain,

it finally sunk it.

I've been hoping it was a dream all week.

She has acute myeloid leukemia and will be going through

chemotherapy,

radiation,

and bone marrow transplants.

I want to throw up right now.

Or maybe cry.

She is worried about the way she'll look when her hair is gone.

She is beautiful and always will be.

Michalla is perfect and beautiful.

Dazed and Confused

Today is a blur.

My best friend was diagnosed with Leukemia this morning.

On the bright side, it is very curable.

On the down side, she has cancer.

I hate the feeling of helplessness.

There is nothing I can do but love her so much.

Love doesn't make the pain and sickness go away though.

So helpless.

I'm Choking!

Yesterday I has my wisdom teeth removed.

Being under anesthesia is quite the experience.

I don't remember a single thing.

Luckily for all of us my sister recorded the car ride home.

I'm not hilarious but still pretty funny.

I went to choir tour with my buddies two weeks ago.

Funnest. Week. Ever.

Really, I love these guys so much.

Me: Hey dude, it's your turn! (Draw Something)
Jc: My iPod is upstairs. It sounds hard to go get it right now.
Me: Use your telepathy. Duh.
Jc: Yeah, I haven't quite mastered that yet. I'll float you over some cake or something when I do.
Me: Oh! Or right as I'm about to sit down just pull out my chair. That would be funny.
Jc: That's too mean and it takes a certain amount of comedic timing that I don't have.
Me: Crap. The only funny things would have to be semi mean.
Jc: That's a useless power when it comes to comedy at least.
Me: Bummer, it'd still be pretty cool though
Jc: Yeah, but I'd rather have the ability to shoot lasers from my mouth.
Me: From your mouth? So basically you want the power of laser puke?
Jc: No, more like laser breath. Like a dragon but with lasers.
Me: What about kissing??
Jc: That's easy. Everyone knows that laser breath tastes like Listerine.
Me: Ya I guess. Zaps all the plaque away. Still gross.
Jc: It gleans up those dirty woman mouths as I kiss um.
Me: I don't know what power I would want, there are too many to pick from.
Jc: You can steal mine if you want.
Me: Tempting. The world can only handle one laser mouth person I think.
Jc: It could lose its luster if everyone had it.
Me: So I'll let you keep that one for yourself. As much as I want it.
Jc: Thanks for your consideration.

We're just...really awkward.

Jc took me to a show last night at the Velour.
Isaac Russell vs. Joshua James.
It is safe to say that I am in love with Isaac and his music.

He's the hottest.
His voice is the hottest.
His guitar skills are the hottest.

We're facebook friends.
It's no a big deal.

Tori and I had to make a 5 second video for Digital Media if we wanted to pass this term.

So we whipped this together.

It poses the question,

"What if play time was real?"

Apparently, the consequences are ridiculous.

You can pull a lot more off when everything is pretend.

The sounds effects are crazy.

Location (my backyard) is off the charts.

The acting is beyond anything I've ever seen.

JC & Katie vs. Cowboys & Aliens

JC and I went to the midnight showing of Cowboys & Aliens the other night.

It was possibly the best movie ever made.

I might be a better person after seeing it.

Where the plot lacked, and believe me it lacked,

the Cowboy/Alien action made up for it.

And even though Daniel Craig is:

-my same height (5'10'')

-43 years old (aka old enough to be my father)

-from England (a British Cowboy?)

He is dang hot with a shirt off...

Curse you Olivia Wilde.

Our friends from Japan visited us over the weekend.
We gave them a tour of our home and they video recorded it.
No matter what room we were in,
you could hear someone saying "sugoi" (cool/awesome).

She's even cuter in real life!

We had a blast.

And lucky for us, they brought some Japanese treats.

The food was delicious but the company was even better.

Even though most of the group only spoke Japanese,
