My Brain Hurts

Here are some ridiculous things that plague my mind every day.

1. What group of people are turned on by drag queens? Is it gay men, straight men, lesbians....? I'm not even trying to be disrespectful, if gay dudes want to dress up like girls then that is awesome. But seriously, I need to know.

2. Why do we have the letter k? And why does ph make the f sound? Why not just stick with f? Fotografy, elefant, alfabet, pedofile, those all seem to work with out the ph..

3. What happens to someones facebook/twitter/blog/social-network-whatever when they die? And what would I do if I saw them post something like 4 years after being buried? (probably pass out)

4. Was this song composed by Danny Elfman?

Things that are making me happy this week:

• Getting off the wait list and into a much wanted Japanese class.
• Finding a bottle of yummy barbecue sauce that makes chicken nuggets worth the calories.
• Having a sleepover with my favorite cousin.
• The great art of cinema.
• Being able to adequately and painlessly chew after 1.5 weeks of liquids and wincing.
• Beautiful people.

• Dinner with my boyfriend.
• Neighborhood BBQ's that end with fireworks and giggling kids.
• My family. Every day.
• Watching drag queen shows with my momma.
• Pinterest. Really can't get enough of that place.
• Black and white pictures. 

Watery Eyes

College is less than a month away.

Why am I all of a sudden so, so nervous?

I've never been so far away from my family.

I've never known hardly anyone.

At the same time, I've never been so excited.

Let's just say when August 18th comes,

I'm probably gonna cry.

I'm Choking!

Yesterday I has my wisdom teeth removed.

Being under anesthesia is quite the experience.

I don't remember a single thing.

Luckily for all of us my sister recorded the car ride home.

I'm not hilarious but still pretty funny.

I just watched A Town Called Panic.

It was super weird and super Belgian.

I'm a fan of stop motion though so I gave it a try.

Just so you can experience something new because new things are exciting.

Totally Buggin

Here are some truths for ya.

• I don't like this place. It's just not designed well. So that makes me post less.
• I am getting the whole Adobe CS5 installed on my laptop very soon. Better believe I'll be changing things.
• This is my 100th post. Big day? I'm neutral about it.
• I watched Clueless yesterday and was laughing the whole time. Gem of the 90's.
• I have been talking to my roommates-to-be this coming fall semester and am very anxious so get to school. I already know it is going to be a blast.
• I painted my nails on Sunday. They turned out much better than expected and that made me happy and proud.
• Yesterday I was a loser and checked facebook and instagram way too many times.
• I kinda miss the beach.

Red Vel-bleh-t Cookies

I like to bake.

And yesterday I wanted Red Velvet Cookies,

so I could eat them.

I went on line and found this little recipe, looked easy enough.

Here is what the internet said I would produce...

Here is what I actually produced....

7 dozen pink, ugly, flat cookies.

I was disappointed by the outcome and in no mood to make frosting.

The pantry is a glorious place in situations like this.

Thank you Betty Crocker for your cheap Rainbow Chip frosting. 

It made them better.

And now I have eaten five.

JC & Katie vs. Cowboys & Aliens

JC and I went to the midnight showing of Cowboys & Aliens the other night.

It was possibly the best movie ever made.

I might be a better person after seeing it.

Where the plot lacked, and believe me it lacked,

the Cowboy/Alien action made up for it.

And even though Daniel Craig is:

-my same height (5'10'')

-43 years old (aka old enough to be my father)

-from England (a British Cowboy?)

He is dang hot with a shirt off...

Curse you Olivia Wilde.

I'm gonna watch it a few more times when it gets to the 3 dollar theater.
